Street Vendors No Longer Banned From Doing Business at Popular L.A. Locations
The L.A. City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved an ordinance to amend the city’s current street vending laws which previously prohibited street vendors from selling goods in seven areas -- the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Bowl, Dodger Stadium, L.A. Live/Crypto.com Arena, Universal Studios City Walk, El Pueblo De Los Angeles Historical Monument, and Exposition Park. Those areas will now be open to these portable small businesses.

City Council Public Safety Committee on Tuesday received a presentation by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) on the street takeovers and road racing which have become a common occurrence in the city. The committee also heard a motion by the Board of Police Commissioners and City Administrative Officer on reports relative to the takeovers.
