I saw "The Fall Guy" last week on opening weekend, and I can attest to this movie being a LOT of fun. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt (and supporting cast) are great. Plenty of action. Plenty of comedy. I was disappointed to learn it opened a little below box office expectations, so I implore you all to see it!

Last weekend, my husband and I checked out Madre Restaurant, a lively regional Mexican eatery in Palms, for a fun date night. The intimate restaurant is owned by Ivan Vasquez, who is originally from Oaxaca, a state in southern Mexico. Madre Palms is the original location, with outposts in Santa Clarita, Torrance, and West Hollywood.
