Culver City Federation of Teachers Endorses Lindsay Carlson for School Board
The Culver City Federation of Teachers, the union representing Teachers, School Counselors, School Nurses, Program Specialists and Inclusion Specialists in the Culver City Unified School District has endorsed Lindsay Carlson for a seat on the Culver City Unified School District Board of Education in this November's election. CCFT is affiliated with the American Federation of Teachers, California Federation of Teachers and AFL-CIO.

The Culver City Democratic Club held a forum for CCUSD candidates to answer questions from the public Sunday night. Moderated by Westside Voice Education Reporter Hannah Bowlus, candidates were given a series of questions related to safety, mental health, and other topics important to Culver City residents.

Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) may be closer to exiting state receivership than it’s ever been. On Wednesday, a report from the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT) to the school board confirmed that while measurable progress has been made towards returning the district to local control, the end is not yet in sight. Still, the FCMAT report was a cause for celebration.
