WeHo City Council Considers Appeal to 90-Unit Development on Crescent Heights
If there’s a housing project passed by the West Hollywood Planning Commission, it’s becoming clear to Westside Voice that it’s sure to face an appeal. That was once again the case on Monday night when the city council considered a 90-unit apartment development at 1305-1317 Crescent Heights Blvd that would include 14 affordable units. Specifically, the development would feature 55 one-bedroom units, 31 two-bedroom units, and four two-bedroom townhouse units.

WeHo Council Hears Appeal on Another Mixed Use Housing Project
The West Hollywood City Council heard another appeal of a large, mixed-use housing project Monday evening. The project, which would span a six parcel area – specifically, 8527-8555 Santa Monica Boulevard and 8532-8552 N. West Knoll Drive – would mean the following: Approximately four acres 111 apartments, 17 of which will be designated as affordable 15,494 square feet of commercial live/work use (12 units) 14,488 square feet of retail space 6,711 square feet of office space 3,938 square feet of restaurant use 3,643 square feet of personal use/hair salon use 347 parking spaces
West Hollywood Council Hears Update on Short-Term Rentals; Rejects Expansion
In 2017, the City of West Hollywood passed an ordinance establishing a home-sharing business license. The license allowed homeowners the right to register and rent either a room or a portion of their home for a period of fewer than 31 days while remaining in the home with the renter. The city contracted with an agency called Host Compliance to monitor the home share registry and to manage the legal application of the program.
