LOS ANGELES, CA – The CD11 Coalition for Human Rights calls on Mayor Karen Bass and other City leaders to intervene on behalf of CD11 constituents who are being criminalized, displaced, and banished from the Westside at the behest of a Councilmember who answers primarily to real estate interests, police, and a minority of homeowners. Traci Park is failing not only her constituents living in poverty, but all of us who desire to live in a vibrant and diverse community that embraces people of all economic classes.
ANOTHER VICTORY IN COURT CLEARS THE WAY FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN VENICE
LOS ANGELES, CA — For the second time in the past month, the Los Angeles Superior Court rejected an attempt to block the Venice Dell Community, a City-approved affordable and supportive housing development. Judge James C. Chalfant ruled on Tuesday, June 4, that the City of Los Angeles acted fully within its rights to enter into a Disposition and Development Agreement with affordable housing providers to provide 140 much-needed new affordable homes in Venice on a city-owned parking lot.
Sustainable & Connected: E-bike program open for income-qualified Santa Monica residents
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (July 8, 2024) — Income-qualifying Santa Monica residents can apply for a $2,000 voucher that can be used at select retail program partners for an e-bike, bicycle, and/or safety equipment such as a helmet, lock, and lights.
