County Board of Supervisors Supports Senate Bill That Battles Race-based Eminent Domain
On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a motion, 5-0, to advocate in support of Senate Bill 1050 to combat racially motivated eminent domain takings. Senate Bill 1050 was introduced by Senator Steven Bradford and co-authored by Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas, and Assemblymember Corey Jackson.

Representative Adam Schiff is a bona fide national hero. We also admire Representative Barbara Lee, a proven progressive who was the lone vote against initiating our two decades of war in the Middle East. However, our choice for the Senate is middle-class champion Katie Porter of Orange County. Let’s talk about why, looking briefly at the other candidates.
L.A. County Supervisors Want to Know How Law Enforcement Will Implement New Law Regarding Traffic Stops
On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a motion relating to Assembly Bill 2773 which went into effect on January 1, 2024. The law states that law enforcement must state the reason for pulling someone over, and can no longer ask drivers, "Do you know why I pulled you over?"
Beverly Hills: Reject Pressure From Out of State, Forced-Birth Bullies
As the year comes to a close, the DuPont Clinic that was supposed to open in the fall of 2023 has still not made its debut. The potential women’s health clinic that would offer abortions at nearly all points in pregnancy was immediately targeted by outside forced-birth groups with little to no affiliation to the city of Beverly Hills, where the clinic was set to open at 8920 Wilshire Blvd.
