Free Fare Day for Clean Air Day, West Los Angeles

​​In celebration of Clean Air Day, the Big Blue Bus, Culver CityBus, and L.A. Metro are completely free for anyone and everyone to ride. No cash or TAP card necessary to hop aboard. This SoCal Transit Week initiative aims to promote sustainable transportation options and contribute to a healthier environment. By providing free access to public transit, it hopes to incentivize individuals to choose more eco-friendly modes of transportation, reducing emissions and congestion.

‘Mean Girls’ Trivia Night, Rita House, Fairfax 

Rita House is a historic co-working space in the center of Fairfax. Built in 1926 as a prop design studio, this Spanish Colonial-style building features a unique mix of elegance and comfort. With its vintage charm and modern amenities, Rita House is a creative and inspiring environment for professionals in the arts and media industries. This inviting co-working space will be hosting a fun “Mean Girls” trivia night, which is free to attend. There will be drinks and food available for purchase.

Runway x Creative Communal October Artisan Market, Playa Vista

Here’s your opportunity to shop local and support talented artisans at the Runway x Creative Communal October Artisan Market. This vibrant event boasts a curated selection of one-of-a-kind handmade goods, from jewelry and clothing to home decor and art. Attendees can discover distinctive pieces crafted with passion and attention to detail. The event will also feature live music, delectable food options, and a lively ambiance.

When: Saturday, October 5

Culver City Art Walk and Roll Festival, Culver City 

The Culver City Art Walk and Roll Festival is a celebration of art, music, and culture. This annual event transforms the streets of Culver City into a pedestrian-friendly haven. The event will feature local artists’ work, live music performances, diverse food trucks, and family-friendly activities. Attendees can visit well-known art galleries with special installations, explore the popup marketplace featuring arts and crafts vendors, and enjoy the neighborhood block party. Events will take place throughout Culver City Arts District, including a designated street closure that stretches along the Arts District (Washington Blvd will be closed between La Cienega Ave and Hutchison Ave).

Celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Getty Center 

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the Getty Center is hosting its third annual family event to learn about Southern California’s Native American cultures. This year’s theme, “Focused on Flora,” offers a unique opportunity to learn about Southern California’s vibrant Native American cultures through activities that share traditional and contemporary perspectives. From crafting Tongva clapper sticks to engaging in garden tours and musical and dance performances, visitors can gain a deeper appreciation for the rich history and enduring traditions of Indigenous peoples.

When: Saturday, October 12 

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Beverly Hills Fall Art Show, Beverly Hills 

The Beverly Hills Fall Art Show is a two-day outdoor art show held in Beverly Gardens Park. The show will include over 235 artists from all over the world, exhibiting their work in painting, sculpture, watercolor, photography, mixed media, ceramics, glass, jewelry, drawing, and printmaking. All of the fine arts and crafts will be original, ranging from the traditional to the very contemporary, and will be represented by the artists themselves. The event will also feature a Wine and Beer Garden with live music, children’s activities, gourmet food trucks, and several community exhibits.

When: October 19 and 20

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
