Look, a difference of opinion is always a good thing, but Prince Street Pizza intends to honor Hawaiian pizzas in collaboration with foodie site Tastemade, celebrating “Pizza Week” through September 1. Give the slice a chance at all Prince Street Pizza locales, complete with a custom pizza box. The Venice spot has a launch party on Monday, August 26 at 5:00 p.m. The first 100 slices of the new featured pizza will be free for attendees.

Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” will return to the theaters for a limited engagement at the El Capitan. Returning to the mind of a now teenage Riley, new emotions are popping up and interrupting the flow of original emotions, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Disgust. The new emotions, including Anxiety, throw Riley and her mindset for a loop. A special Family Pack is available for $75, featuring four tickets as well as four 24-ounce fountain drinks and an El Capitan Theatre collectible popcorn tin with popcorn and refill.

This new weekly event put on by Tristan Schukraft is set to be an electrifying party filled with high energy, pulsing beats, and special guests. SWEAT will get your heart rate up as you dance the night away to music by DJ Josh Peace, while host Lyle Anthony keeps the vibe alive all night. Attend Cinecon’s 60 Classic Film Festival at the Writers Guild of America Theater for a weekend full of timeless movie magic. For over five decades cinephiles from around the world gather over Labor Day weekend to celebrate the movies at the annual festival. Cinecon is where archivists, authors, collectors, and film fans come to enjoy five days of classic film and TV screenings as well as celebrity guests and special programming. Cinecon is known for showcasing unusual films that are rarely given public view.

The MAK Center for Art and Architecture is welcoming guests to Final Projects: Group LV, exhibiting art produced by their artists and architects-in-residence, including Uwe Brunner, Dominic Schwab, Karl Holmqvist, Michèle Pagel, and Kris Lemsalu. The historic Fine Arts Theatre welcomes guests to celebrate the six-decade-long enduring cultural impact of “Star Trek” with a Super 70mm sixtieth-anniversary series screening of the first six motion pictures. Starting Friday, August 30 and going through Sunday, September 1, the series marks the 1964 production of the original “Star Trek” pilot episode that eventually became known as “The Original Series.” Beginning with 1979’s “Star Trek: The Motion Picture,” in restored 4K digital and going through “Star Trek II-VI,” Trekkies will not want to miss this event.

Lionel Richie and Diana Ross top this inaugural fest filled with soul and R&B legends, with other featured artists including Al Green, Durand Jones & The Indications, and The Pointer Sisters. Held on the Hollywood Park Grounds, the festival will bring legendary performances from across genres and decades for a fantastic time. Spanning nearly 300 acres, Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use development under construction in the Western United States. Centered around the 3.1 million square foot SoFi Stadium, which was ranked the No. 1 stadium in the world for top-grossing concert and live event ticket sales, it is also set to host some of the FIFA World Cup matches, Super Bowl LXI, and the opening and closing ceremonies of the Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The Theatricum Botanicum welcomes you into university professor Paola Aguilar’s life. While she scrambles for money, a political party approaches her and offers her a significant paycheck to help them understand the Hispanic/Latino/Latina/Latinx/Latiné vote. She reluctantly takes the job, but can she help these political wonks understand all the nuances of her community to save the election. Pay what you can ticket pricing is available for the 7:30 p.m. performances on September 16 and October 3. A prologue discussion with the cast will take place at 6:30 p.m. before the performance on October 12.
