Las Vegas police have arrested a suspect in connection with a disturbing animal cruelty case involving a horse that was allegedly dragged through an east Las Vegas neighborhood before being found dead.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, 62-year-old Guadalupe Camarillo Guarneros turned himself in at Metro headquarters on Friday, July 3. Officers took him into custody and booked him into the Clark County Detention Center.

Police said Camarillo Guarneros faces one count of willful or malicious torture, maiming, or killing of an animal. The arrest follows several days of investigation by LVMPD’s Animal Cruelty Section.

Neighbors later found the horse dead in front of a home in the 1300 block of Ringe Lane, according to police. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed the animal had died.
