Día de los Muertos Celebration, Santa Monica Pier

The Santa Monica Pier is hosting a colorful Día de los Muertos celebration, which honors the cultural tradition of remembering and celebrating loved ones who have passed away. This event’s centerpiece is a public art installation where guests can contribute personal souvenirs and stunning altars crafted by local artists Sylvia Sanchez and Yolanda Medina. Attendees can view numerous art installations, including the transformation of the 100-year-old carousel, which will be draped in marigolds. The event includes live music, a traditional dance performance of Ballet Folklorico, and delectable Mexican food. Additionally, Ambassador Carlos González Gutiérrez, Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles, is the guest speaker of the event. He is expected to share reflections on the significance of this cherished tradition for Mexican communities.

Day of the Dead Rooftop Festival, E.P. & L.P., West Hollywood

E.P. & L.P. is a chic spot for rooftop drinks and Southeast Asian fare with a full indoor dining room below. This unique event will feature graveyard-themed decor, a horror-themed bar, a rooftop roller disco, and an outdoor movie theater. There will also be big-name DJs, and horror-themed food and craft cocktails. So, get ready to dance the night away under the stars at this spooky spectacular!

‘Dazzling Glamor of Creative Pursuit’: Opening Reception, Mash Gallery, West Hollywood 

The ‘Dazzling Glamor of Creative Pursuit’ opening reception at Mash Gallery is an evening celebrating the culmination of past shows and the one-of-a-kind artistry of each artist. This exhibition will showcase a range of conceptual mixed-media pieces, and figurative works, along with distinctive sculptural creations that showcase the beauty and complexity of three-dimensional art. The event will exhibit the work of top artists such as Haleh Mashian, J Maskrey, and Cicely Carew.

Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration, Beverly Hills

Rodeo Drive is set to dazzle once again with its annual Holiday Lighting Celebration. This year’s theme, “Rodeo Nights, Holiday Lights,” promises a captivating evening filled with awe-inspiring light installations, fun performances, and festive cheer. The performance lineup includes The Red Hot Band featuring Tera Bonilla, BlueGrass Strings, who reimagine holiday classics with blue grass flair, Holiday Harmony Carolers singing retro seasonal melodies, and a Yuletide Irish Dance Ensemble with Irish step dancers. Guests can indulge in holiday treats, along with two wine gardens featuring food and beverages from local favorite 208 Rodeo.

Curator and Conservator’s Tour: Paper and Light”, Getty Center

“The Curator and Conservator’s Tour: Paper and Light” at the Getty Center offers a unique opportunity to delve into the intersection of art, paper, transparency, and light. Attendees join curator Julian Brooks and conservator Michelle Sullivan as they explore how artists have masterfully utilized these elements to create stunning works of art. This one-of-a-kind tour provides insights into the techniques, materials, and artistic vision behind these pieces, providing a deeper appreciation for their beauty and complexity.

Friday Movie Nights, Ovation Hollywood

Home to the Dolby Theatre and the TCL Chinese Theatre, Ovation Hollywood is a high-end shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. Ovation Hollywood’s Friday Movie Nights kicks off the festive season with an outdoor screening of the classic cartoon version of  “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” As the holiday season approaches, this heartwarming film provides a reminder of the true spirit of Christmas.
