The Burbank Tournament of Roses Association is looking for volunteers to help build and decorate their 2025 float with the theme “Having A-Lava Fun!” The float will feature a dozen prehistoric dinosaurs frolicking among a floral landscape beneath an active volcano. Exploring Metaphors presents an exclusive behind-the-scenes view of the collaborative process that is extending the Great Wall of Los Angeles mural from the 1960s to the present. Electronic indie rockers LCD Soundsystem and the taco spot HomeState have paired up for a limited edition taco. Dubbed “The American Dream,” it features bacon, egg, American cheese, Frank’s Red Hot sauce, and ketchup on a flour tortilla. A dollar from every sale goes to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which provides financial assistance to all types of musicians and music industry workers struggling to make ends meet.
