Jimmy McHugh may not be as familiar a name as Irving Berlin, but this new documentary hopes to rectify that. The film is making its Academy Award-qualifying run in Los Angeles, hoping to give McHugh his due. “I’m in the Mood for Love,” and “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love,” are some of his more popular tunes, but to find out more of his life and legacy, head to Lumiere Cinema to catch the short film.

Comedian Sam Morrison brings his one-man romantic comedy to the stage as he relives his whirlwind romance cut short by COVID. After meeting the “silver zaddy of his dreams,” the love of Morrison’s life is cut short when his paramour dies. It’s officially spooky season and autumn festivities wouldn’t be complete without at least one haunted experience. Universal Studios Hollywood provides the premier Halloween experience in Los Angeles and their Horror Nights lineup is set and raring to go. Part of Getty’s region-wide initiative PST ART: Art and Science Collide, the Hammer presents Breath(e), organized by guest co-curators Glenn Kaino and Mika Yoshitake. Santa Monica Trapeze School first opened on the Pier in 2008 and went through a rebrand last year. At the heart of the School’s motivation is a desire for greater health, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
