Beverly Hills needs no introduction. It is a city well-known for its luxury and glamour. It is home to luxurious mansions, high-end boutiques, and upscale restaurants. This guide will show you how to explore the city’s iconic landmarks, indulge in budget-friendly treats, and experience the Beverly Hills lifestyle without breaking the bank.

Sunrise and Stroll at Beverly Gardens Park

Beverly Gardens Park is a tranquil oasis in the heart of Beverly Hills. It is a 1.9-mile linear park from Wilshire Boulevard to North Doheny Drive along Santa Monica Boulevard. It boasts well-manicured gardens, winding paths, and landmarks like the Beverly Hills sign. The park also houses arresting art sculptures, water features, and numerous specialty gardens, including the Cactus Garden and Rose Garden, the Wilshire Electric Fountain, and the Doheny Fountain. With its serene ambiance and awe-inspiring vistas, Beverly Gardens Park is perfect for a leisurely morning stroll.

Grab Breakfast at Toast Bakery Café

Toast Bakery Café is an expansive eatery that crafts a delicious selection of freshly baked pastries, artisanal breads, and savory and sweet breakfast options. With its charming ambiance and impeccable service, this café is a well-loved spot for locals and visitors to indulge in a delectable meal or a relaxed coffee break. Order the Classic Buttermilk Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, Shakshuka, Croissant Sandwich, Berry French Toast, or Quiche Lorraine, and you will not be disappointed. I tried the Eggs Benedict ($20.95), which was the best I’ve ever had! The eggs were perfectly cooked and the Hollandaise sauce was flavorful.

Tour the Greystone Mansion

Then, visit the Greystone Mansion, a historic bungalow built in the Tudor Revival style, on a landscaped estate with formal English gardens. This estate was once the home of oil tycoon Edward Doheny. Now a public park, Greystone Mansion offers guided tours that exhibit its beautiful gardens and rich history. The inside of the mansion isn’t open to the public, but it’s free to stroll the grounds and see the majestic mansion from the outside.

Lunch at Joan’s on Third and Window Shopping at Rodeo Drive

Founded by chef Joan McNamara, Joan’s on Third is a culinary institution. It is a gourmet marketplace and eatery that offers a range of specialty goods and freshly made cafe fare. The bistro serves mouth-watering pastries, salads, sandwiches, soups, and entrees. I tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich ($15.95) with jalapeño coleslaw, butter lettuce, and garlic aioli on a grilled ciabatta roll. The sandwich was packed with flavor and textures and hit the spot.

After a lip-smacking lunch, make your way to Rodeo Drive for window shopping. This iconic street is lined with upscale boutiques, designer shops, and luxury brands. Enjoy the lively ambiance, while browsing the beautiful decorated storefronts and checking out the street activations.

The Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills is a must-visit destination for arts and culture enthusiasts.
