Blue Prius Sparks High-Speed Chase Across L.A. County

Authorities are searching for a suspect who led deputies on a winding pursuit through multiple Los Angeles County cities on Saturday, navigating slick roads and congested neighborhoods in a blue Toyota Prius.

Suspect Flees Across Multiple L.A. Cities

The chase began on the afternoon of Nov. 15, when deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spotted the compact blue Prius and attempted to make a stop. The driver refused to pull over, sparking a pursuit that stretched through several communities.

SkyFOX cameras captured the chase from above as the Prius sped through Long Beach, South Gate, and Wilmington, weaving through traffic before circling back into Long Beach.

Throughout the pursuit, the suspect maneuvered through wet roadways as Southern California experienced scattered rainfall, making conditions more dangerous for both deputies and other drivers.

No Arrests Yet; Vehicle May Be Stolen

As of 7 p.m., authorities had not made any arrests. Officials confirmed the car was believed to be stolen but have not disclosed where the vehicle was originally taken from. Deputies eventually lost track of the suspect after the pursuit ended.

The Sheriff’s Department is urging the public to report any information that might assist investigators. Updates are expected from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as the case develops. For broader crime and chase statistics, residents often reference data from the California Department of Justice.

This latest incident adds to a growing number of vehicle pursuits in the region, many of which have been caught on live aerial footage and shared widely across social media platforms.
