Survivor Recalls Home Invasion After Suspect Later Charged in San Francisco Woman’s Killing

A woman who survived a terrifying home invasion in San Francisco is speaking publicly after learning that the same man was later charged in the killing of another woman with striking similarities to her own case.

The suspect, Cassidy Wyatt Allen, is currently facing charges in connection with the death of 38-year-old Jessica Sanchez Landaverde. Allen has pleaded not guilty, and the allegations against him have not been proven in court.

Fatal Attack

According to San Francisco police, officers responded to a residence on Granada Avenue in the Ingleside District on Nov. 23, 2025.

Investigators said Jessica Sanchez Landaverde was found dead inside her apartment after a roommate returned home and called 911.

Authorities allege she suffered severe injuries, including blunt-force trauma and strangulation. Court records state Allen was arrested later that evening approximately 1.5 miles from the scene.

Allen has been charged with residential burglary and murder with a special-circumstance allegation related to burglary. He remains in custody after entering a plea of not guilty.

Earlier Break-In

Two years before the homicide, Jessica Marie Condrey said Allen allegedly entered her San Francisco home while she and her children were inside.

Condrey recalled waking during the early morning hours after hearing footsteps. Initially believing one of her children was awake, she later encountered an unfamiliar man walking through her home.

She quietly returned to her bedroom, where her young daughter was sleeping, and called 911 while barricading the bedroom door as instructed by the dispatcher.

According to Condrey, the intruder remained inside the house, eating food, smoking cigarettes, taking a shower, and changing clothes before police arrived.

Officers eventually arrested the suspect inside the residence.

Court Proceedings

Condrey said she later received notice to appear in court but was informed that she would not need to testify because the case had been resolved through mental health diversion.

According to the report, Allen was admitted into a diversion program despite previously receiving a negative diversion evaluation related to an earlier case.

The district attorney’s office reportedly informed Condrey that the charges had been reduced and that Allen would be subject to a stay-away order.

Emotional Impact

Following the home invasion, Condrey said she experienced anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, and ongoing fear for her family’s safety.

She later moved away from San Francisco and eventually relocated to Georgia, where she sought therapy.

Condrey said she underwent Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a treatment commonly used to help people process traumatic memories.

She said the therapy helped reduce the emotional intensity associated with the experience, although some situations continue to trigger anxiety.

Learning About the Homicide

Condrey said she was contacted by a victim advocate after Allen was charged in the death of Jessica Sanchez Landaverde.

She later learned that both women shared similarities, including their first name, age, and Hispanic background.

The news, she said, brought back painful memories of the home invasion and deepened her sympathy for Landaverde’s family.

Ongoing Case

Allen’s criminal history spans more than two decades and includes previous arrests for robbery, theft, vandalism, and drug-related offenses, according to court records cited in the report.
