A box truck rollover near Interstate 70 caused a temporary closure of northbound Kipling Street in Wheat Ridge on Thursday evening, according to Wheat Ridge Police.

Police said the crash occurred near the I-70 Frontage Road South around 7 p.m., prompting an immediate response and lane closures in the area.

Authorities later confirmed that all lanes were reopened by approximately 8:40 p.m. after the scene was cleared.

Investigators said the box truck rolled over while the driver was attempting to exit I-70 and enter Kipling Street.

According to Wheat Ridge Police, the vehicle crossed a grassy shoulder in an effort to avoid parked cars before attempting to continue onto Kipling Street, at which point it tipped over.

Injuries

Police reported that no serious injuries occurred in the rollover. However, four individuals were transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure.
